7/1/13 - Wings of Hope
Calvary Church sponsors a monthly support group specially aimed at survivors of suicide, called "Wings of Hope." The group meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30-7:30 pm, in the church building. It is aimed at everyone in the community who needs it, not just members of our congregation. It is specifically for the survivors of suicide, not a general grief support group. A time for sharing our sorrows, sympathy, and guidance will be offered each month. We pray that those who do not yet know their Savior will come to know His love through ours.

"Lutheran." We bear that name in honor of Dr. Martin Luther, a former Catholic monk, professor and priest from the 1500s who insisted on using only the Bible as the foundation for our faith and lives, instead of relying on the teachings of men. When we call ourselves Lutheran, we're saying that everything we teach and preach can only stand on the unchanging Word of God, instead of the changing thoughts of man.
