Dr. Martin Luther once wrote that the Church isn’t simply a place or a building, but “a holy little flock or community.” He was recognizing what the apostle Peter said when he called all Christians “a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” God calls each one of us a living and vital part of his Church on earth! How might you express that truth at Calvary? We offer many formal and informal ways to serve. From being an elder who helps oversee the spiritual care of God’s flock here to volunteering time to work one-on-one with our school children, from greeting visitors in church to singing in the choir, from serving and fellowshipping together with Calvary Women Serving Christ to taking an active role in our Teens Serving Jesus group, from occasional church cleaning days to visiting the sick or homebound, there is a way for you to make a meaningful difference at Calvary.
