Active participation in sports helps students identify extracurricular interests, develop confidence in their abilities, and learn the important lessons of team work, good sportsmanship, and the value of a healthy lifestyle. Calvary Lutheran offers many opportunities for its students to participate in interscholastic athletics. Over the course of the year we offer volleyball, soccer (co-ed), cross-country, basketball (both male and female), track, softaball and cheerleading. Some of our teachers enjoy stepping out of the classroom to coach our students; other coaches are selected from within our congregation and school parents
Coaches teach sound fundamental skills at every level, and encourage each student-athlete to develop and use these skills as part of a team. The Calvary Lutheran Comet teams compete against 9 other Lutheran schools that comprise the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Grade School Athletic League. Go comets! Our school participates in many co-curricular or academic contests throughout the year. Please click on the link to the left to see winners and updates from the most recent contests. Contests include forensics, geo-bee, art fairs, science fairs, math meets, spelling bees, and even more. Come see how you can be a part of the Comet express in academic contests. |
